David Winch is an experienced construction lawyer with expertise in major projects, energy and resources. He commenced his legal career as a commercial litigator in private practice and has subsequently worked in house in the mining, energy and public and private infrastructure sectors.
David has significant contract drafting and negotiation expertise in the engineering, construction, consulting, energy and resources sectors with a focus on active participation in driving negotiation processes to an efficient and mutually beneficial conclusion. In addition, he has expertise in procurement, key supply contracts, joint venture agreements and confidentiality agreements.
David has managed several contract claims and disputes, including engaging and managing external counsel for local, national and international disputes. David has also investigated and managed OHS and employment related matters and conducted litigation in all levels of the court system in Western Australia.
David has previously held in-house legal roles at WorleyParsons in Canada and Australia, Rio Tinto and Western Power and has also worked in private practice in Western Australia.
